Quartz Care & Maintenance Guide

Quartz surfaces are durable, non-porous, and designed for everyday living. With simple care, your quartz countertops will stay beautiful for years.

Daily Cleaning

For routine cleaning:

  • Use a soft cloth or sponge

  • Clean with warm water and mild dish soap

  • Wipe dry with a clean towel to prevent streaks

Avoid harsh scrubbing pads that may dull the surface over time.

What to Avoid

Quartz is highly stain-resistant, but not indestructible. Avoid exposing the surface to:

  • Strong chemicals (bleach, oven cleaners, paint removers)

  • Highly acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon-based cleaners)

  • Abrasive powders or scouring pads

If a spill occurs, clean it promptly.

Heat Protection

Quartz is not heat-proof.

  • Always use trivets or hot pads under pots, pans, or slow cookers

  • Do not place hot cookware directly on the surface

Excessive heat can cause discoloration or cracking.

Scratch & Impact Prevention

Quartz is scratch-resistant, but sharp objects can still damage it.

  • Use cutting boards instead of cutting directly on the countertop

  • Avoid dropping heavy objects on edges or corners

Stain Removal Tips

For dried or stubborn spills:

  1. Use a non-abrasive household cleaner approved for quartz, available for sale at our showroom.

  2. Let it sit for a few minutes

  3. Wipe clean with a soft cloth

For gum, grease, or paint: gently scrape with a plastic putty knife.

Long-Term Care

Quartz does not require sealing, polishing, or special treatments.

To maintain shine:

  • Clean regularly

  • Avoid harsh chemicals

  • Protect from heat and impact

Recommended Products

Safe options include:

  • Mild dish soap + water

  • Quartz-safe surface cleaners

  • Soft microfiber cloths

Always follow the cleaner manufacturer’s instructions.

Quartz is intended for interior use only unless specifically rated for outdoor applications. UV exposure may cause discoloration over time.
